The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) is seeking Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) members for Women’s Healthcare: A Clinical Journal for NPs (WH) for 2021-2022. WH is the official journal of NPWH.

The EAB is a volunteer group that assists the Editor-in-Chief in directing the content, focus, and strategic development of the journal. Please read EAB member qualifications, role, and responsibilities. All members of the EAB must hold active membership in NPWH. If you are not a member and wish to participate in this volunteer opportunity, join today.

Of particular interest at this time are nurse practitioners with expertise in 1) Gyn and Ob specialty practices, 2) non-gyn primary care, and 3) quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies including data analysis. However, all nurse practitioners that meet the qualifications and who are interested in serving on the EAB are encouraged to apply. The Editor-in-Chief makes EAB appointment decisions based on the totality of information regarding qualifications provided on the application and applicant’s CV/resume.

Commitment to Creating a Diverse EAB

NPWH and the journal publisher are committed to creating an EAB that is representative of the diversity of our organization members, our journal readers, and the populations our members and readers serve. Diversity encompasses demographic backgrounds, identities (innate and selected), collective strength of experiences/beliefs/values/skills/perspectives, and characteristics of the populations a person serves. We seek representation across the U.S. and diversity that is visible and invisible across a wide spectrum of characteristics. In the EAB application we ask for information on the diversity you believe you can bring to the EAB that will benefit the journal. All qualified EAB applicants will receive consideration for this opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
