Aimee Holland, DNP, WHNP-BC, FNP-C, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Aimee Holland is Professor and Interim Associate Dean for Graduate Clinical Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her faculty practice providing gynecology services at the UAB Student Health and Wellness Clinic is the primary platform for her scholarly work focusing on office gynecology procedures, contraception, vaginal infections, and gynecologic cancer prevention. She is a past chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, and a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing. Dr. Holland previously served on national policy bodies including LACE, a collaborative of advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) representatives that meets about APRN regulatory model issues; the National Task Force on Quality Nurse Practitioner Education; and the ASCCP Risk-Based Management for Abnormal Cervical Cancer Screening Results Guidelines Workgroup. Her service as a National Health Service Corp Ambassador and nurse practitioner inspired the creation of an office gynecology procedures workshop that has increased access to specialized women’s healthcare and educated over 3,500 global providers at live events and 30,000 virtually.
