Dr. Aimee Holland is Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Clinical Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her faculty practice at the UAB Student Health and Wellness Clinic is the primary platform for scholarly work on office gynecology procedures, contraception, vaginal infections, and gynecologic cancer prevention. She is past chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and a current member of the Board of Directors for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties. A fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing, Dr. Holland has served on national policy bodies including LACE, a collaborative of advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) representatives that meets about APRN regulatory model issues; the National Task Force on Quality Nurse Practitioner Education; and the ASCCP Risk-Based Management for Abnormal Cervical Cancer Screening Results Guidelines Workgroup. Her service as a National Health Service Corp Ambassador and nurse practitioner inspired the creation of an office gynecology procedures workshop that has educated over 3,500 global providers at live events and 30,000 virtually.
