Dr. Kelsey has served as editor in chief for the journal since 2014. She is NPWH Beth Kelsey, Editor in Chief, Women's Healthcaredirector of publications with the primary responsibility of leading the writing of position statements. She has master’s degrees in adult education and nursing, an educational doctorate with a focus on adult and community education, and is an inducted fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP), she has provided healthcare at family planning, prenatal, and sexually transmitted infection clinics. As an educator, she taught for over 30 years at Ball State University in Indiana, serving as DNP program director and teaching women’s health, advanced practice role, and research in the family nurse practitioner program. She is co-editor of Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Review Guide (5th ed., 2020) and served as chair of the task force in writing the WHNP: Guidelines for Practice and Education (8th ed., 2020). Dr. Kelsey is dedicated to mentoring WHNPs to grow professionally as leaders in women’s healthcare, engaging with aspiring writers both one on one and through writing workshops.
