Matleena Leslie, BSN, RNC-OB, Texas Woman’s University
Matleena Leslie has been a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery/Antepartum at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Grapevine, TX since 2017. She earned her certification in Inpatient Obstetrics in 2020. She is currently pursuing her MSN degree at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Dallas, TX, where she earned her BSN with Honors in 2017. Matleena is set to graduate in May 2023 and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to begin working as a women’s health nurse practitioner.
She has always been passionate about women’s health and issues regarding access to healthcare. While in her BSN program, Matleena founded the Women’s Health Student Advocate Association (WHSAA), an organization dedicated to education and creating outreach opportunities regarding women’s health issues for students on the TWU – Dallas campus.
Matleena was born in Finland and moved to the United States with her family in 2001. In her free time, Matleena enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and their 2-year-old silver lab, Graham.
