Susan Kendig, JD, WHNP-BC, FAANP
Susan Kendig serves as the Director of Policy for the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and holds numerous appointments to national policy efforts. She represents NPWH on the Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health national partners group and Executive Committee, a national initiative dedicated to reducing maternal mortality and morbidity through state-based quality improvement efforts. She serves on the Women’s Preventive Services Advisory Panel, which guides the HRSA-funded collaborative interdisciplinary effort to develop, review, update, and disseminate recommendations for women’s preventive healthcare services. She is a member of the National Quality Forum’s Perinatal and Women’s Health Standing Committee, which reviews and evaluates recommendations related to women’s healthcare. In her home state, she serves as Vice Chair of the Missouri Women’s Health Council and as a member of the St. Louis City Board of Health and Hospitals. She presents nationally and has published articles on policy as it relates to women’s health and women’s health nurse practitioners.
